Water pooling is another common reason pool decks sink and settle. When water pools on or around your pool deck, it can get underneath the slab and wash away the subgrade, making it difficult for the pool deck surface to stay level. If you have a hot tub or other pool equipment that is leaking and water is collecting around your pool deck, this water may be collecting in small pockets underneath your pool deck slab, causing it to settle over time.
