Polyurethane Concrete Slab Lifting

The best way to lift sunken and settled slabs.

Commercial slabs support a lot of weight, so it's essential for them to be level. Sometimes concrete slabs sink and settle, which can lead to cracks in the slab, which create safety hazards and other issues with the building itself. If the concrete slabs on your commercial property are showing signs of settlement, you should have them fixed as soon as possible.
Having uneven or unlevel floors on your commercial property can be dangerous and inconvenient. Commercial floor slabs tend to sink and settle over time because of the amount of weight they support. Sinking and settling can occur for many reasons, such as poor soil compaction, improper installation or simply the structure's weight. As commercial slabs settle over time, they will pull away from the walls of the building and create gaps around the perimeter of the building. This can compromise the structural integrity of the entire building. Commercial slab settlement can also create tripping hazards which you may be liable for as the property owner. If you are looking for a fast, efficient and cost-effective way to restore your commercial slab floors to their original height and prevent further damage, then polyurethane concrete lifting is the solution!

Why do commercial floor slabs settle?

Commercial slab floors sink and settle for various reasons. Poor soil compaction, improper installation or the weight of the structure are all common causes.
The most common reason for settling is poor soil compaction. Before your commercial floor slabs are installed, it is essential to ensure that the ground underneath them is properly compacted. This allows water to drain away from the foundation and keep it from eroding the soil below the slab. If the soil is not properly compacted before installation, the weight of the structure will put pressure on the soil below and cause it to sink and settle faster than average, which can lead to cracking of the slab.
Sinking and settling is a natural process that occurs when a building's foundation settles into its surroundings. This happens over time as soil shifts and settles in response to changes in temperature, moisture levels and other forces. When it comes to commercial buildings, however, sinking and settling can be more severe than in residential properties because they're typically much larger. As a result, they tend to settle faster due to their larger footprint.
Improper installation of commercial floor slabs is another common cause of settling. If there aren't enough reinforcements installed under the slab before pouring starts or if there aren't enough expansion joints included in the plans, then this can lead to cracks forming in your concrete over time as well as other structural problems such as bulging walls or doors sticking due to uneven floors. Regardless of the reason for the sinking and settling of your commercial floor slab, the team at Atlantic Concrete Lifting can restore them to their original level quickly and efficiently.
